Due to weather, the Braddon Busking Festival has been postponed to Sunday 30th October 2022.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

50 minute busking sets from 10am – 3pm

Final Busk-Off from 3pm to 4pm.

The Braddon Busking Festival is part of the Australian National Busking Championships (ANBC) held annually in Cooma.

Prizes!!


Open Age Group (17 Years and Older):

First prize: $1,000, Second prize: $500

Youth (16 Years and Under):
First prize: $500, Second prize: $300

People’s Choice:
First prize: $500

The festival is open to performers in the Canberra region – music or other
performance – and will be held on Lonsdale St and Haig Park Markets in Braddon
from 10am – 3pm. With the final busk-off from 3pm – 4pm.


Performers can compete for prizes and entry into the annual Australian National
Busking Championships in Cooma. Prizes include: Primary
School, Secondary School, Open, and People’s Choice. To enter the Braddon
Busking Festival, complete the application form.


Prizes will be awarded after a ‘busk off’ from 3pm – 4pm.
Visitors to the Festival will vote for their favourite buskers with ‘busking coins’ for the People’s Choice award. These will be available to purchase at locations on the day.

The First and Second prizes of the Open and Youth age groups will be awarded by a judging panel. It’s composition and judging criteria will be supplied to successful applicants.
